A meeting with friends - and one very special friend, “the environment”- is an experience not to be missed at the Ponta do Sal Environmental Centre.
Enjoying a privileged location by the sea, the Ponta do Sal Environmental Centre is located in São Pedro do Estoril. Harmoniously situated in its surroundings, the building acts as a showcase for the coastline and the sea. Here visitors can enjoy the unique views and setting of “Ponta do Sal”.
Visitors are invited to admire the unique characteristics of this section of coastline, walk along the newly created 800 metre footpath, visit the cliffs and discover the local flora and fauna. You can also visit the former bunkers – the Lighthouse and Generator Building – which have been totally renovated. Built in the middle of the last century, on a natural rocky outcrop, these houses were designed to light up a large stretch of coastline.
